The Warrior Community seeks a full
time faculty member for the College of Engineering. This is a
tenure-track position and will be responsible for teaching and
developing courses with primary teaching emphasis in Cybersecurity
and Information Systems or related courses as assigned by the Dean.
The position includes teaching four courses per semester, advising
students, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve the
Institution’s Strategic Plan. Additional duties include
designing and revising program curricula, developing and
redeveloping undergraduate and graduate courses, particularly in
the online modality, delivering effective courses to meet learning
outcomes, holding office hours, fulfilling service and professional
development requirements, advising and fostering relationships with
students, and actively participating in student recruitment and
retention.
A strong candidate would have
knowledge in Information Security, Cybersecurity principles,
programming in cybersecurity, IOT Security, familiarity with
personal and financial data privacy regulations, and compliance
regulations (i.e. PCI, HIPAA , and/or FERPA). This is a
tenure-track, 9-month position teaching in face-to-face and online
course delivery. This faculty position reports to the Dean of
the College of Engineering.
The preferred faculty member will hold
an earned doctorate in Cybersecurity, Information Systems or a
closely related field. College-level teaching experience is
required. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity,
Information Systems and with College-level teaching experience will
be considered. Faculty rank will be commensurate with
academic credentials and experience. Certifications in CompTIA
Security+, CEH, and CISSP are desired.
