The School of Special Education at UNC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Special Education who has experience in the area of Special Education Administration. The Special Education Administration program provides for the initial preparation of special education administrators and leads to a Colorado approved administrator license endorsed as a Director of Special Education K-12. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain scholarly activities, teach courses in Special Education Administration and General Special Education and engage in school, college, university and national service. Also associated with the position is an expectation to collaborate with other schools in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences and the Colorado Department of Education.

Minimum Qualifications: 

An earned doctorate in Special Education or related field.

Demonstrated excellence or potential for excellence in scholarship

Demonstrated excellence or potential for excellence in university level teaching

Three years minimum successful teaching in P-12 educational settings in Special Education

Experience working as a special education administrator.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience teaching graduate students in online and face-to-face modalities.

Experience working with diverse populations.
