Research Associate



The Department of Neural and Pain Sciences, University of Maryland School of Dentistry, is searching for a qualified candidate to fulfil the faculty position of Research Associate. The candidate will carry out NIH-funded projects regarding neuroskeletal interactions and signaling in craniofacial structures, train lab staff and students, attend scientific meetings, and write manuscripts. Ideal candidates should have experiences in grant application and are expected to develop an independent project for submitting NIH grants.

Qualifications :

Applicants must have a PhD, preferably DDS/PhD, in life sciences and biology with at least 5 years of postdoctoral training. Strong expertise in molecular, histological, biochemical and genetic approaches to the study of bone biology and craniofacial development is necessary. A record of productivity with excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
