Position Summary:

Maintains grounds of College property and supports events by performing duties that include cutting lawns, trimming and edging, pruning shrubs/trees, removes litter debris and refuse, snow removal from walks and driveways, plants grass, flowers, trees, waters lawns, shrubs and flower beds, cleans out drainage ditches, establish and maintain a high level of customer service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands andarms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds with appropriate equipment and assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

SHIFT:

Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm May through October 31 & 3:00 pm-11:30pm November through April.

PAY RANGE:

$15.71 per hour per the contract which is 90% of the prevailing wage for someone new or the rate will be the full $17.45 if current regular union member eligible for 100%.
