Job Summary

Provides advanced Level 3 technical support to all faculty, staff, and students for the college’s learning management system. Serves as a secondary system administrator for the LMS environment and other instructional tools. Assists with advanced level planning, development, and testing of all LMS service pack upgrades.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides Level 3 LMS technical support to all faculty, staff, and students via phone, support ticket, and/or in-person meetings
• Performs advanced level system testing related to LMS issues, service pack upgrades, and patch set releases
• Investigates, tests, and provides limited training and support for third-party tools to be integrated or used in conjunction with the LMS
• Serves as secondary system administrator for the college’s Learning Management System
• Facilitates the creation and management of student and employee organizations in the Learning Management System
• Develops and delivers instructional material for eLearning tool best practices and feature use
• Attends conferences focused in the area of instructional technology and eLearning
• Collaborates on special projects, tasks, and assignments related to tools for online teaching and learning
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Associate’s degree or 60 college hours from a regionally accredited college or university and two (2) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience
• One (1) year of experience working within a learning management system

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Experience leveraging the latest instructional technologies to enhance online learning
• Demonstrated experience reviewing, testing and selecting technologies for use in teaching and learning, including mobile learning devices such as smart phones and touch pads

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with computerized systems
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
