The Faculty of Law (FLL) invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor in Law in the areas of International Business Law, International Law, European Union Law and the laws related to Data Science (“Law & Technology”).
The Faculty of Law of University of Macau is the oldest law school in Macao and plays a very important role in preparing jurists who are familiar with Macao S.A.R. legal system, as well as, educating jurists who are competent in legal research and practices in Macau law, international law and comparative law. The Faculty of Law presently offers undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees to both local and international students. More details about the Faculty are available at https://fll.um.edu.mo/.
Qualifications
Applicants for the post of Associate/Assistant Professor must hold a PhD degree in Law. Preference will be given to those applicants with teaching experience in tertiary education and strong evidence of research achievements, which shall be substantiated by publications in refereed journals of international standing.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2021.
Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Apart from competitive remuneration, UM offers a wide range of benefits, such as medical insurance, provident fund, on campus accommodation/housing allowance and other subsidies.
