Successful candidates will be expected to collaborate on rigorous and relevant health research with our interdisciplinary faculty that span three campuses across the state of Kansas. The Department is the focal point for new initiatives to enhance public health and health services education and research in the state and the region. We are particularly interested in faculty with skills to advance priorities in a number of potential areas, including cancer prevention and control, physical inactivity, poor nutrition, tobacco cessation, reproductive health, health disparities, outcomes research, and chronic disease.

The Department of Population Health is a leading research department at the University of Kansas and home to nationally recognized educational programs. Our Wichita campus is particularly well known for its research, service, and education efforts related to cancer control, rural health, worksite wellness, maternal and child health, public health, and health equity. As part of our teaching mission for the broader University, The Department offers a Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) degree, a Master of Public Health (MPH), and supports elective and required courses in our School of Medicine.

For clinical faculty, the position can include clinical practice opportunities with an associated academic appointment in one of our outstanding clinical departments.
