EXPLO Pre-College and Career is hiring summer Lead Instructors for our academic summer enrichment program for students in grades 10-12 located on the campus of Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world class program that is designed to live at the intersection of academics and the future of work.
You will be provided with highly engaging experientially based curriculum that has been designed with a group of top experts in the field, yet is still open enough for you to make your mark. This is active learning at its best. If you are someone with significant experience in the field, are an advanced graduate student, have already earned a terminal degree, or currently teach high school or college, we are interested in connecting. EXPLO is renowned for the support it provides its instructors and teaching fellows, so if you don’t have a lot of teaching, but you know your subject and you are open to professional coaching and keen on improving your craft, this could be a position for you.

Each program is two weeks in length, with a 9a to 5p intensive look at the subject with a particular focus on emerging work and scholarship in the field as well as career opportunities in the field. Each Concentration is built around a partnership between EXPLO and a leading practitioner, academic, organization, or business. A few recent examples are:

Hon. Richard Gabriel, Justice of the
Colorado Supreme Court will work with our Trial Law + the
American Justice System students in a multi-day trial prep
intensive session
Surgical Interventions +
Biomedical Engineering students will participate in a tissue
engineering lab challenge designed in partnership with Dr. Glenn
Gaudette, Dean of Engineering at Boston College.
You’ll be on campus during the summer and will work with one or more teaching fellows, visiting faculty, guest speakers, and experts . This is an excellent opportunity to extend your professional network while working with bright and curious students.
For interested candidates who are not local to Mount Holyoke, summer housing and meals are available. Compensation is competitive.
