Position Summary:

This position supports the administrative operations of the Wisconsin Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit (CRU) housed within the department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects required
- Ability to be meticulous and pay attention to details required
- Ability to work independently, as well as function effectively in a team and with a diverse group of people required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with office colleagues, faculty, staff, University and other agency officials required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe software required
- Experience with, or ability to learn, UW-Madison financial and administrative systems required
- Administrative experience in a higher education setting preferred
- Familiarity with research administration fundamentals preferred

Additional Information:

Position will be hired at 60% FTE (24 hours per week), there may be the potential opportunity to increase to 100% FTE in the future dependent upon Department business needs and budget availability.
