Job Summary
The Applied Physics Division at NIST encourages applications for multiple qualified Professional Research Assistants in support of our existing efforts in superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) and transition edges sensors (TESs). One project involves crafting large arrays of infrared-sensitive SNSPDs for hyperspectral imaging to support machine vision applications in light-starved environments. Other projects are focused on quantum information applications and involve integrating SNSPDs with ion traps and optimizing the speed of photon number-resolving TESs.
The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Who We Are
The Professional Research Experience Program (PREP) is a special partnership between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Colorado Boulder.
