Primary work schedule is Sunday, Monday, Thursday 4:00pm – 1:00am; Friday/Saturday 6:00pm -3:00am.

This position manages the facilities and operations of the Schine and Goldstein Student Centers, Skybarn, quad and other SCPS facilities by facilitating and coordinating services to meet the needs of our customers. This position shares supervision of the Building Operations unit and oversees Reservation and Building Operations Student leads and approximately 120 student employees. Responsibilities include hiring, training, development, recognition, performance evaluations, and discipline. Monitor facility usage, security, safety, and quality, enforce building policies, and implement protocols to ensure facility standards are achieved and/or exceeded. Position works in an on call capacity to provide assistance and support 24/7 to the staff and students of SCPS .


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in higher education.

Two years’ experience managing facilities and operations in higher education.

ACUI membership and/or involvement.

Job Specific Qualifications

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership/management skills.

Demonstrated success in student personnel training and supervision.

Two years’ experience in higher education student center/union or student service setting.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Windows, and Mac software as relates to presentation software and connectivity.


Hire, train, evaluate, schedule, and supervise student employees 4 Student Leads, 20 Building Managers, 75 Building Operations ( RBO ) staff, and 4 Late Night Managers. Implement and evaluate training procedures for RBO unit student staff.

Monitor facility usage, security, safety, and quality by reporting building maintenance and recommending policies.

Coordinate technical production services and event requests for Registered Student
Organizations and Academic/ Administrative departments.

Manage the reservations, operations, and information desks of the Schine Student
Center (190,000 square feet), Goldstein Student Center (33,000 square feet), and the Skybarn (400 standing, 200 sitting capacity).

Other duties as assigned.
