Administrative Support III - Financial Aid
Position Category: Staff - Full-Time
Summary:
Provides administrative support to the Director and Associate Director of the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. Administrative tasks include secretarial assignments, visitor and employee reception, basic knowledge of federal student aid, personnel coordination, budget reconciliation, purchase coordination, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of administrative and secretarial tasks.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, emails, databases (Banner, People Admin preferred), and presentations for tasks related to position.
- Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations.
- Skills in composing accurate correspondence (emails, brochures, pamphlets, agenda items and minutes, and other correspondence as assigned).
- Skills and ability in managing and tracking purchasing, inventory, and requisitions.
- Skills in accurately updating student information into database.
- Ability to perform, manage, and supervise a variety of administrative support and confidential duties with minimal or no supervision.
- Ability to receive and maintain access to federal student aid sites.
- Ability to work independently on a multi-task level to prioritize and follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and personalities in a high-stress environment, providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with personnel issues including coordinating hiring processes from job posting to new hire completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer an associate’s degree in business administrative or other administrative field. Experience as an event planner is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
General Office Environment. Frequent fine-hand manipulation associated with the use of a computer. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Pay Range: $27,592 - $34,490
