Associate or Assistant Professor of Biomechanical or Biomedical Engineering

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Associate or Assistant Professor of Biomechanical or Biomedical Engineering faculty position, beginning August 1, 2021. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.
The primary responsibilities for the position include research, teaching and service work. Applicants from all disciplines with a research focus in biomedical or biomechanical engineering are welcome. The home department(s) will be determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with background and experience.
The ideal candidate applying for an Associate Professor position will bring an established record of a vigorous, interdisciplinary, and sustainable externally funded research program. Those applying for Assistant Professor position should show promise for developing such a program.
Courses are taught on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University and are offered during daytime and evening hours. Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, flipped classroom and online.
An earned Doctorate or other terminal degree in biomedical engineering, electrical or computer engineering, industrial or systems engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or closely related field, or the foreign equivalent is required by the time of appointment.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in securing or showing promise for national-level external funding.
- Industry experience and/or Professional Engineering licensure.
- Experience teaching in various instructional modalities.
- Research focus in an area of biomedical engineering.
