Position Summary

The J. M. Tull School of Accounting in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position at the senior lecturer level, beginning Fall 2021.

Additional Requirements

Master’s degree and an active certified public accountant ( CPA ) license (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA ), or a Ph.D. in accounting. Candidates with a Master’s degree must document exceptional accomplishments in accounting and must be approved for a terminal degree exception before hire.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

Qualified candidates should have at least 10 years of experience teaching accounting at the college/university level, service on school and college-level committees, evidence of a significant past professional background.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Candidate should have a demonstrated ability to teach masters level tax courses including the following specific topics: (1) Partnerships, (2) International Taxation, (3) State and Local Taxation, and (4) the Taxation of Corporations and other Entities as well as other undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
