Position Summary
The ideal candidates should be comfortable in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of cases in hematopathology, hematology, coagulation and flow cytometry
Candidates will be required to perform all the duties of an attending pathologist which include:
• General and subspecialty surgical pathology
• Hematopathology
• Hematology
• Coagulation
• Flow Cytometry
• Select areas of laboratory medicine, and
• Autopsy pathology.
Pathologists additionally attend and participate in:
• Tumor boards
• Residency teaching, and
• Medical/dental undergraduate educational teaching.
A current New York State license and Certificate of Qualification is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
MD, Board certified or Board eligible
Preferred Qualifications
AP/CP board certified; hematopathology
board certified.
Additional focus and expertise in head and neck pathology is very desirable.
