About Northeastern:
Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global research university and the recognized leader in experience-driven lifelong learning. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus.

Our locations—in Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; London; Portland, Maine; San Francisco; Seattle; Silicon Valley; Toronto; Vancouver; and the Massachusetts communities of Burlington and Nahant—are nodes in our growing global university system. Through this network, we expand opportunities for flexible, student-centered learning and collaborative, solutions-focused research.

Northeastern's comprehensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs— in a variety of on-campus and online formats—lead to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools. Among these, we offer more than 195 multi-discipline majors and degrees designed to prepare students for purposeful lives and careers.

About the Opportunity:
The Roux Institute at Northeastern University, in partnership with MaineHealth, seeks to hire a visiting faculty member (one year, renewable). In particular, we are seeking a health economist interested in microeconomic work focused on health care delivery, innovation, and finance. Expertise in health economics at the level of Associate or Full Professor are preferred, but candidates at the Assistant Professor level with at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience will be given full consideration. Specific areas of interest include economic evaluation of healthcare delivery, cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analyses, and health care innovation and economic modeling.

Appointed at the Roux Institute in Portland, Maine, this faculty position will have their academic affiliation with both Northeastern University and the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) at MaineHealth and will report jointly to the VP for Research at MaineHealth and the Academic Lead at the Roux Institute. CORE is a research center supporting the advancement of health services research and T3-T4 translational research at MaineHealth and serves as the focal point for health care professionals, researchers, and analysts from across MaineHealth to foster multidisciplinary collaborations that bring together our diverse skills and talents to pursue health services research and education. In addition, CORE and the Roux Institute cultivate strong research and educational collaborations with external partners including University of New England, University of Southern Maine, University of Vermont, The Dartmouth Institute, the Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute, The Jackson Laboratory, other health care delivery systems, community organizations, and state and local government agencies.

The successful candidate will be engaged with other multidisciplinary faculty, including physician-scientists and doctoral-level health services researchers engaging in collaborative research and developing and conducting original methodological research as required. They will support proposals to secure external funding, and contribute to our educational mission including mentoring post-docs and faculty across the various sponsored fellowships and other educational programs across MaineHealth and Northeastern University.

This is an internally funded, full-time, 12-month position, to start as soon as possible. This visiting faculty member will be essential in achieving CORE and Roux's research and educational missions
