Job Summary
The IT Business Owner serves as the primary IT point of contact for a division(s) within the University providing strategic and operational planning as well as project management. This position will work with senior leadership in the assigned division to create strategic roadmaps that will deliver innovative technology solutions to grow the business. In addition, the IT Business Owner will be accountable for identifying process improvements, reporting on Service Level Agreements for his/her assigned division and managing project portfolios for assigned division.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Represent assigned division (as needed) on governance committees
  • Partner with Service Operations to deliver Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to assigned division and track metrics for tickets to ensure SLAs are met
  • Identify and champion process improvements and collaborate with IT Business Analysts team to propose a solution
  • Possess an understanding of enterprise applications used by division
  • Collaborate with team of IT Business Analysts and assist in resolving operational tickets that are submitted by customer when needed
  • Conduct quarterly business review with leadership within the division to review IT service and projects
  • Perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Serve as central point of engagement for assigned division allowing for better communication within higher levels of administration
  • Build and maintain relationships with all business units within division to translate business drivers into IT strategy
  • Develop the division's (business units) IT strategy into a roadmap that aligns with university strategic plan (pillars)
  • Foster innovation, planning and projects
  • Ensure collaboration between business units for IT projects occurs when needed
  • Serve as the single point of approval specific to the PMO project intake process
  • Partner with PMO to manage the project portfolio for division

    Required Qualifications
    Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

    Required Experience
  • Five or more years of related work experience
  • One or more years of experience managing customer and vendor relationships, and projects

    Proposed Salary
    $62,100 - $80,700
