Position Summary:

The Department of Ophthalmology, Fundus Photograph Reading Center seeks a collaborative individual to evaluate ocular images from research studies for the presence and severity of various eye diseases. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing images for evaluation, classifying observed changes, entering data into FDA compliant electronic case report forms, and participating in quality control exercises. Imaging modes may include, but are not limited to stereoscopic color fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

BA or BS required; degree in Biological science or related field strongly preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- 2 years of experience evaluating Optical Coherence Tomographs (OCTs) for retinal diseases preferred.
- Familiarity with various ophthalmic image review software platforms preferred.

Additional Information:

A Criminal Background Check is required.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Familiarity with computers, MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to work independently as well as on a team.
- Normal color vision and stereoscopic acuity.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- Familiarity with various ophthalmic image review software platforms.

This is a terminal position expected to last twelve months from appointment date, with a possibility of extension of up to an additional year, and the possibility of a change to Fixed Term Renewable status if warranted and funding available.
