Part time Development Assistant needed for VCUarts Development, working up to 29 hours per week.

The employee will assist the department with an array of tasks around the office, including but not limited to:
- Process gifts (checks, credit cards, etc.) daily
- Manage stewardship and acknowledgements (thank you letters)
- RADAR training – enter interactions and plans for donors/alumni when needed
- Assist with weekly gift reports for Development staff
- Assist with bi-weekly revenue reports for departments
- Compose scholarship letters for review and mail and enter in database
- Compose scholarship letters for review, mail and enter in the database
- Christopherson/Chrome River training – process development team reimbursements travel etc. when needed
- Process payments through eVA and credit card
- Reconcile p-cards and development budget
- Produce event research and reports
- Availability to work events as needed

Required Qualifications

- Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with donors and prospects
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to tackle various office-related tasks
- Experience working with databases
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment and able to manage complex priorities
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or have a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU .
