Payableposition. This is a regular, full-time position.
Our Business Office is an agile and diverse environment and
provides all administrative support for financial matters for the
university, including budgeting, financial analysis, financial
reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax reporting and
grant monitoring. This position oversees all aspects of the
Accounts Payable process.
Responsibilities:
- Process over 10,000 requests for payment annually with a high
level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Management of weekly check runs including check register
reconciliations and positive pay communication processes
- Assist internal and external parties with questions related to
vendor payment.
- Maintain vendor database, including address, contact and
banking information and tax status
- Processing ofIRSForm 1099
- Administer the University credit card program (referred to as P
card), including managing existing cards; training and supporting
all new cardholders; processing requests for credit limit
adjustments, reviewing/auditing monthly transactions and creating
reports to gather data and show metrics
- Import P card activity monthly
- Supervise other accounts payable staff, including 2-3 student
workers
- Perform the necessary accounting for travel advances, prepaid
expenses, unclaimed property and analysis of AP data.
- Collaborate with team members on process and procedure
development, implementation and improvements

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related
field
- Three years of accounting experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Experience using Banner Finance
- Experience usingERPsoftware
