Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Software/CS in the Computer Systems Engineering Technology Department. This is a 9-month, full-time position located on the Oregon Tech campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The successful applicant is expected to: have a strong background in C++ as that is our department’s primary language. Specific skills we are looking for include network programming and cloud development. As a small department, faculty are expected to teach freshman through senior level classes. This individual would also be expected to cover classes from some of the following areas: data structures, design patterns, software engineering methodologies, or project management. To be clear, we are not expecting one individual with all of these skillsets but these are the areas where we could use some additional help. While the primary job duties are teaching and advising, this tenure track position has additional institutional and professional development expectations that allow for a robust professional work environment.
