SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the
Dean of the School of Education, the Associate Dean of Graduate
Teacher Education oversees our graduate teacher education programs,
participating in governance within the School of Education (SOE)
and the larger university. Working with program directors and
coordinators, this position provides leadership and support for our
graduate Masters in Teacher, Gifted, Montessori, Special Education,
Applied Behavior Analysis, and Teaching and Learning programs,
including budget management, resource advocacy, and faculty
development and support. This position serves as the director for
our Master in Teacher program. This position also supervises staff
in assigned programs. Finally, the Associate Dean of Graduate
Teacher Education also carries teaching responsibilities within
assigned programs up to 15 credits per academic year. This is a
tenure-eligible position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Terminal degree from an accredited college or
university in a related field (i.e., Education, Psychology,
Educational Administration, Leadership, etc.).
Experience: Three (3) years of experience working in higher education as faculty and / or administration; demonstrated commitment to establishing positive working relationships with diverse groups of people and constituencies; experience working with college or university graduate programs.
Licenses or Certifications: None required, licensure as a teacher or educational leader preferred.
