Description/Primary Responsibilities:  The School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track, full time, 10-month faculty position in Hospitality and Tourism. It will be at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Successful candidates will participate in curriculum development and building the Hospitality and Tourism program housed within the School.  The position requires a candidate with an extensive understanding and notable experience in the hotel and lodging industry, convention and meeting management, and special events planning. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Hospitality and Tourism or a closely related field, but ABD will be considered.  Candidates must have the potential to be an excellent teacher dedicated to student learning, active researcher publishing in refereed journals, and participating member of the university, professional, and local communities.  Preference will be given to candidates with professional work experience, a record of excellent teaching, and a record of peer-reviewed intellectual contributions.

 

Salary (Annual/Academic Year):  The position commands a peer-competitive salary with excellent Indiana University benefits.
