IT Sec/Privacy Risk Manager – Information Technology Services – Florida State University
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and six years’ experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to ten years.
Provides specialized technical expertise and consultation with campus unit data owners and custodians to identify and implements robust risk management operating procedures and to assist managers in ongoing risk mitigation initiatives and procedures. Maintains a standard of excellence in the risk and privacy evaluation process through gap analysis, design assessment, and ongoing critique of information technology systems supporting the mission of the University regarding IT security risk exposure. Supports University compliance with select legislated and contractual information technology compliance requirements.
Background Check Requirements
Background Check, Level 2: Per Section 110.1127, Florida Statutes, a Level 2 Criminal History Background Check shall be conducted for positions of special trust or responsibility (See policy 4-0P-C-7-B11 Criminal History Background Checks). As defined by Section 435.04, Florida Statutes, a Level 2 background check shall include, but need not be limited to: fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Department of Law Enforcement, and national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.
