Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting (Non-Tenure Track, 3-Year Renewable Position)

The Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics at Lebanon Valley College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track assistant/associate professor of accounting starting in August 2021. The assistant professor of accounting is responsible for teaching a standard academic course load as assigned by the chair of the Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics and/or the Director of the Master of Business Administration program. Lebanon Valley College currently offers four undergraduate degrees in business (Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, and International Business) as well as an M.B.A. degree with various concentrations, including Accounting. Courses are taught by faculty with years of experience in research, consulting, government, entrepreneurship, and international studies. Departmental coursework focuses on building proficiencies and knowledge in key areas, such as information technology, ethics, professionalism, and teamwork, while stressing the development of critical thinking, creativity, and communications skills. The position requires a C.P.A. with a master’s degree in accounting and/or taxation preferred; as well, a C.P.A. with an M.B.A. will be considered. Qualifications also include: professional experience in accounting; previous program and curriculum course development experience; experience teaching in a college classroom at the undergraduate and/or master’s level is highly desirable as well as a prior record of teaching excellence including but not limited to blended and online delivery. Qualifications to teach courses in additional disciplines is highly desirable. A familiarity with ACBSP business school accreditation standards is desirable; as well as a commitment to the assessment of learning outcomes.
