This is a full-time, tenure-track position to begin Fall 2021 in the Department of Fine Arts at Concord University, Athens, WV.

Concord University, established in 1872, is a comprehensive, public institution with a strong commitment to programs of excellence in teacher education, business, pre-professional programs in the arts and sciences, and public service.

The position includes teaching, curriculum development, assessment, academic advising, scholarship/professional development, and service.

The position involves teaching 12 credit hours per semester through a combination of asynchronous and synchronous course delivery. In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to participate in curriculum development, assessment, academic advising, scholarship/professional development, and service at the departmental, college, and university level, as well as within the profession and the community.

All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, an on-going program of creative research, publication, and/or other professional practices/activities designed to enrich student learning and provide service to the community and profession.

An MFA or equivalent terminal degree in Graphic Design or closely related area is required.

Strong communication and collaborative skills, a proven record of professional practice/teaching and/or creative research in the area of web design.

We are seeking high energy applicants with enthusiasm for teaching, intellectual vigor, strong human relations and communication abilities, and a demonstrated record of teaching and graphic design experience.
