The Office of Organizational Development at CSU Pueblo reports to the Office of the President and is responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining the university’s strategic initiatives. The Office of Organizational Development manages the infrastructure that oversees both the program and financial responsibility of the day-to-day work of visioning. The Organizational Development team seeks out and manages external opportunities and fundraising efforts as long-term financial drivers that will increase CSU Pueblo’s capacity to: 1) ensure that visioning remains on track and on budget, and 2) increase the university’s ability to strategically plan longer-term projects. The Office also coordinates robust ongoing communication to the system, the Board of Governors, the Office of the Chancellor, and to university leadership and other stakeholders across the region.

 

 Description of Job: CSU Pueblo is looking for a diligent administrative professional whose organizational skills will enhance the success of traditionally underrepresented students in this full-time, year-round position. The Office Manager, Organizational Development will provide office management and administrative support to the Chief Strategy Officer and to the Organizational Development unit. Daily work will include data collection, financial processing, record keeping, meeting and travel coordination, and human resources management. This position will assist with initiatives including University Advancement Activities, HSI Grant Programs, Vision 2028, External Partnership Development, COVID-19 Response and Planning, Todos Santos Center Programs, Downtown Engagement, and Special Projects. The Office Manager will be responsible for supervising office staff.
 
The Office Manager for Organizational Development will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and will collaborate with departments across CSU Pueblo, including the Office of the President, and with the Colorado State University System. The role will primarily support the Chief Strategy Officer and secondarily other Organizational Development team members.
 
This position will require demonstrated ability to work remotely and meet deadlines without daily supervision.  Work will be conducted on campus or remotely when necessary.

Primary Duties
  • Supports and manages the Chief Strategy Officer's office and related Vision 2028 activities, such as financial processing, travel, student and HR management.  
  • Coordinates all meetings and related administrative support of vision activities; attendance at meetings; note-keeping and reporting, as needed.
  • Coordinates data collection from multiple sources.   Prepares and manages data processing and related reporting to system, campus, and community, as needed.
  • Budgeting, expensing, and liaising for grants regarding all vision-related activities.
  • Supervise performance of office staff in supporting responsibilities listed above. 
  • Mailings, communication, and event management
  • Participation on university or community committees in support of vision activities 
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

 Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights: Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution OR five to ten years in similar position.
  • Familiarity with internal travel and budgeting processes; grant procedures or programming, especially with Department of Education and other federal programs.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Curiosity and the acumen necessary in order to establish and maintain positive working relationships throughout the university and with outside stakeholders and partner organizations.
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skills.
  • Advanced skill to meet predetermined goals and objectives through effective program/project planning, organization, execution and evaluation.
  • Proven time management skills, the ability to prioritize and keep records are essential.
  • Professional experience in higher education.
  • Training in data processing and reporting, travel procedures, and information processing in a university office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Training in Kuali and AIS.
  • Experience with accounts receivable; financial aid procedures; billing; student enrollment and retention strategies and community outreach.
