Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the Grant Center Business Liaison in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. This position will require someone who can work independently and efficiently while performing a variety of tasks for the Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics.
Job duties include, but are not limited to: providing support to the director of the Grant Center and its functions that further the mission of preparing students for professional careers. This will include: networking with donors, business professionals, and board members; planning, taking minutes, and providing agendas for advisory board meetings; monitoring budgets; creating flyers, invitations, brochures, posters, and other marketing materials; managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) for the Center; website creation/maintenance using the t4 Content Management System platform; writing press releases; creating correspondences, i.e., electronic newsletters; creating and/or editing multi-media content such as videos and podcasts; coordinating student activities as related to the Center; coordinating special events that involve community members and guest speakers; and other assigned duties.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience or equivalent education, training and experience are required. At least two (2) years of experience in marketing, social media, website maintenance and event planning are preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to write articles for college newsletters and media releases for website and newspapers; will be able to design and produce advertising brochures and collateral materials for marketing; will be able to work independently and to work outside of normal business hours when needed for events and other occasions; will have the ability to work effectively with students; and will have knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, OneDrive, and others), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator), Google programs (Drive, etc.), and Canva.
