Responsibilities:
Teach courses within the Nutrition and Dietetics program to undergraduate and graduate students with strengths in the following areas including but not limited to: lifecycle nutrition, nutrient metabolism, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical nutrition therapy courses. Successful candidate will participate in recruitment and advising of students; participation on committees; university/regional service, and scholarship. Successful applicant must also demonstrate proficiency and commitment to high quality classroom and clinical instruction, new course development, understanding and assistance with responsibilities of ACEND accredited DPD and DI programs, and campus and community services. Candidate will be expected to develop an independent and collaborative plan for engaging in research, and creative and scholarly activity.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master’s degree in nutrition is required. Strong background in clinical work (minimum of 2 years of experience) and recent college teaching experience within the last 3 years in a regionally accredited university. Working knowledge of ACEND standards for DPD and DI programs. Applicant must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist/Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration at the time that application is submitted or have reciprocity. Successful applicant must have attained state licensure (LD) via the Kentucky Board of Licensure by appointment date.

Preferred Qualifications:
Earned doctorate with at least one graduate degree in nutrition will result in appointment as Assistant Professor.
