Scope of Job:
Trainee position to pursue research as a vital component of their educational mission and professional career development. Works under minimal supervision with some latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment in research and/or teaching. Performs teaching and/or research work as required within the classroom and/or project assigned.

Description of Duties:
The following is a listing of typical duties that may be applicable to the position:

Developing, testing, and analyzing research projects based on application expertise and interest; Aiding in the development of a survey instrument, testing the instrument and disseminating the instrument; Writing narrative summaries of the research results, and related tasks under the supervision of the faculty member assigned; Conducting background research; Developing and implementing an evaluation plan and preparing progress reports as needed; Studying, testing, and maintaining accurate data identified as relevant and/or best practice systems from research results obtained through national studies; Designing and implementing training activities as required; Teaching one course per year in conjunction with faculty member, if assigned; Publishing in peer-reviewed publications related to the focus of the research activities assigned; and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

General direction from the assigned supervisor.

Required Education:
Doctoral degree from an accredited University (based on funding restrictions degree may need to have been conferred within a set period of time previous to assuming position).

Equipment:
Use of personal computer and proficiency in software and research statistical applications.


Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Standard office environment.
