Adjunct Professor, Surgical Technology

We are searching for an experienced Adjunct Professor, Surgical Technology .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the Associate Dean/Dean.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include concurrent enrollment, distance education, evening and weekend programs, online instruction and other instructional modalities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.

Required Qualifications:

An associate degree from a regionally accredited institution approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. A bachelor's degree desired.

Two (2) years of current experience in the operating room scrub role or as a preceptor/instructor in a surgical technology program or a combination of both.

Required Certifications/Professional Associations:

  • Current Surgical Technology-specific credential accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Current member of the Association of Surgical Technologist (AST)
