The Department of Pharmaceutics is currently seeking two postdoctoral fellows in the Nanotherapeutics Lab directed by Dr. Qingguo Xu, Blick Scholar Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics, Virginia Commonwealth University. This research program is translational research to develop novel therapeutics to treat eye diseases, lung diseases and opioid use disorder with enhanced efficacy and improved patient compliance. Passionate and driven researchers with a strong background in pharmaceutics, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or other biomedical research are strongly encouraged to apply. The postdoc fellow will participate NIH- and FDA -funded research projects and get comprehensive training in
translational therapeutics.

Required Qualifications

-Successful candidates must hold a PhD in the field of pharmaceutics, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related area.
-This position requires a motivated candidate, who has excellent oral and written communications skills.
-Incumbent must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research group.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in pharmaceutics, drug delivery, biomaterials or other biomedical research preferred.
