James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for two 10-month full-time positions that will begin on August 25, 2021, and we have a commitment to diversifying our faculty with these positions. The School of Nursing (SON), offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Masters, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs. Teaching responsibilities will focus on BSN undergraduate program needs. Three years of clinical experience in Adult Health and/or Community Health Nursing is preferred for these renewable term contract positions.

Duties and responsibilities for the position include clinical, classroom, laboratory, and other teaching assignments in the BSN program related to adult health or community health. Professional, school and university service, and scholarship are additional expectations.

 

Qualifications for this position include the following: Minimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing, Doctorate in nursing or related discipline (preferred) and three or more years of clinical nursing practice experience in Adult Health and/or Community Health nursing (preferred). Other requirements include RN registration and eligibility for Virginia nursing license.
