James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for a
10-month full-time position starting August 25, 2021 and we have a
commitment to diversifying our faculty with this position. The
School of Nursing offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate,
Masters, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs. Three or more
years of experience as a Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner,
and/or Graduate Nursing Faculty are required for this tenure track
position.

Duties and responsibilities for the position include clinical, classroom, laboratory, research, and other teaching assignments in the MSN and DNP programs. Professional, school and university service, and scholarship are additional expectations.
Qualifications for this position include the following: Doctorate in nursing or related discipline (a masters in nursing is required if doctorate in related discipline) and three or more years (preferred) experience as a family or pediatric nurse practitioner and/or Graduate Nursing Faculty. Other requirements include current APRN certification as a nurse practitioner and eligibility for Virginia nursing license. This is a Tenure track position. The successful applicant will be assigned the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor based on their qualifications.
