The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology is recruiting a full-time faculty member for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank (without tenure due to funding, commensurate with experience), on the clinician/scholar pathway, with an annual service period of 12 months (July 1-June 30). This position would be based at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Center in Seattle. The selected candidate would see patients, teach, and build a related research program in the interface of transfusion and hematology. Selected candidate would also assume Medical Directorship of the SCCA Transfusion services. Teaching responsibilities would involve oversight of fellows and residents during inpatient activities and division conferences and lectures. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is August 2021.

 

The selected candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and subspecialty training in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
