Lecturer, Counseling Program (Term)

Summary of Position
The YSU Department of Psychological Sciences & Counseling is seeking a candidate for a full-time Lecturer position in the Counseling Program. This program offers four CACREP accredited program tracks: addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, and college counseling/student affairs. This position is a 9-month, renewable, non-tenure track appointment with the expectation of teaching 15 hours per semester (5 graduate level counseling courses) during each Fall and Spring semester in our Counseling Program.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned doctoral degree by the time of appointment in Counselor Education from a CACREP Accredited program. Eligibility for Licensure as an LPC in Ohio. Documented professional counselor identity by education, experience, and professional affiliations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Eligibility for licensure as an LPCC in Ohio. Evidence of contributions to scholarship and professional service in counseling. Experience and/or licensure in more than one Counseling Program track specialty area. Experience teaching graduate level courses.
