The Cancer Vaccine Institute (CVI) in the University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, is recruiting a full-time faculty member to participate in a research program concentrated on tumor immunology with the potential to focus on human T-cells or T-cell biology. An important aspect of the position would be a leadership role within the institute as Director of the CVI Immune Monitoring Core Laboratory (IML). The IML is a GLP (good laboratory practices) laboratory that performs immune monitoring on multiple clinical trials and contains a staff of research scientists which interact with other sites for multi-site studies and perform immune assays. This position would supervise the staff, ensure assay quality, and guide the staff in the development of new immune assay technologies.

This position would be appointed at the Research Assistant or Research Associate Professor level without tenure, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and would have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. The position would have 0.2 FTE supplied as Director of the IML. This position would have an annual service period of 12 month [July 1-June 30]. The position will also involve participation in the instructional activities of the Division of Medical Oncology. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

Anticipated start date would be July 1, 2021.
