Position Description:

The University of Florida seeks to fill one Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in the Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, and Renal Transplantation. These positions can involve both clinical and research activities and can be a tenure or non-tenure track (dependent on the applicant). The applicant will be expected to cover clinical service, teach fellows and if tenure track to develop a strong research program. For the clinical education side the applicant must have a strong interest in general clinical nephrology and teaching. An active role with medical student, resident, and fellow education is anticipated. Start-up packages are available.

The clinical duties will include providing Nephrologic care in the Outpatient and Inpatient setting. This position can cover inpatient service at Shands UF, inpatient service at the VA Medical Center, Select Specialty Hospital, as well as covering the Internal Medicine Teaching service of Shands Hospital.

If on the tenure track, research responsibilities include applying for funding, and carrying out and publishing research. Rank and Tenure status will commensurate with qualifications. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.

Qualification:

Applicants must have a MD degree and be BC/BE in Nephrology.
