Position Summary:

UW-Madison is in the early stages of implementing Salesforce as the enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) platform. The Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) continues to play a leading role, after having co-founded the University's first enterprise-class Salesforce implementation in 2018. The Division primarily uses Salesforce to support student recruitment for a large variety of campus degree programs, and we are actively innovating to support other campus priority needs for CRM. Join our small but mighty CRM team at DCS as one of two Salesforce administrators for DCS. More specific day-to-day requirements will be decided in collaboration with DCS's lead system administrator based on the individual strengths of each person. Certification by Salesforce as an Administrator will be expected within 3 months of starting work. Full-time remote work aligned with our Central Standard Time schedule is welcome.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- 1 year experience as a Salesforce administrator (or Salesforce user with some administrator-level responsibilities)
- 1 year experience conducting business analysis work, such as:
-Eliciting business requirements
-Documenting business processes
-Developing and assessing business cases for change
-Measuring the impact of process improvements
-Leading or preparing change management processes

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing technical support to end users of software systems.
- Experience handling complex data management tasks (preferably in Salesforce), such as: identifying/merging duplicate records, auditing data quality, repairing bad data, and loading data.
- Experience developing and leading technology-focused training.
- Experience designing and implementing technology solutions to meet users' needs.
- Experience using Informatica or other ETL/integration tools to build integrations between software systems.
- Experience as an employee of a large institution of higher education (particularly in the areas of marketing, recruitment, and/or admissions)
- Qualifications or certifications in Salesforce, Informatica, Agile Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, ITIL, and/or equivalent practices or methodologies.

Prefix determination will be based on individual qualifications.

DCS has strong teams in digital marketing technology, marketing, advising, and recruiting for prospective lifelong learners. While you will be part of a small team focused on the CRM platform itself, you will be joining a larger team that is excited about the impacts we can achieve using our CRM. In addition, campus and DCS longer-term roadmaps lay out a bright future for expanding the scope and scale of CRM use at UW-Madison.

This is a two-year fixed term terminal position with the option to convert to renewable if budget and program allow.
