Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of International Faculty and Staff Services, this position provides customer service to and administers the International Faculty & Staff Services (IFSS) J-1 Exchange Visitor Program. This position provides assistance to international scholars, university faculty and department staff across campus, and to other university campuses. Acts as liaison between University of Wisconsin-Madison and state and federal government agencies such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS).

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required:
Extensive knowledge or work experience in DHS and DOS regulations, with emphasis on DOS J-1 Exchange Visitor Program.
Excellent customer service and intercultural communication skills.
Attention-to-detail, database management skills, and consistency & accuracy in data entry.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and organize time effectively.
Knowledge of cross-cultural sensitivity.
