Denison University is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and student learning-centered individual to collaborate with professional and student staff to support and facilitate the development of welcoming and engaging residential communities, intentionally blending in the marquee strengths of the college. The AD will provide formative supervision and support to Community Coordinators (early-career professional staff) and indirectly supervise student Community Advisors via our intentional community development model, participate in the on-call rotation to support students’ well-being, and serve in a conflict resolution capacity for formal and informal resolution.
An earned Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher
Education Administration, Social Work, or other related advanced
degree strongly preferred; an earned Bachelor’s degree and minimum
of three years relevant professional experience are required.
Ability to accommodate adapted work hours, including some evening
and weekend work hours. Must have a current, valid driver’s license
and must be insurable under Denison’s liability insurance
policy.
Must be able to work with diverse groups of people, possess strong
interpersonal and communication skills, and have an understanding
and appreciation for the liberal arts and residential colleges.
