The Department of Biology at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor beginning August 2021. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching ecology and evolutionary biology and will be expected to maintain an active research program with student collaborators.  The Biology Department serves an undergraduate student population, a small Master’s program, and a variety of other programs across the University.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field, with preference given to candidates with two or more years of postdoctoral experience, interests in sustainability, and a research program that will engage undergraduate students.  Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research, and the promise of scholarly and pedagogical excellence in a liberal arts and sciences setting.  The successful candidate will teach upper-level courses in evolution, sustainability, ecological modeling, or their area of specialization, in addition to general biology courses. Additional expectations include establishing a productive research program in their area of expertise, seeking external funding for research, and contributing to the broader Biology curriculum.  Successful candidates will help sustain the University's emphasis on student-faculty scholarship collaboration.
