Position Summary:

Under general supervision and in the absence of a University Dining Manager, this position will lead the operations of a Memorial Union Retail Unit, a larger restaurant operation with alcohol service. Will oversee high volume with exceptional quality food preparation, presentation and customer service. Assist in the training and development of part time staff to achieve the same professional standards throughout the unit.

- Quick service cash sale restaurant operation.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation methods, techniques and equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Train, lead and provide direction to part time staff.
- Sanitation requirements and procedures.

License or Certificate:

Possess or ability to obtain the following certifications within six months of hire:
1. Owner/operator bartender license
2. ServSafe Certification
3. State of Wisconsin Food Manager's License

Work Schedule:

The work schedule will vary, to include days, nights weekends and holidays as
needed. Schedule will vary per business needs.
-Peak periods of the year, required minimum of 45 hours per week.
-Required 40 hours per week during non-peak periods.
-Required to work each home football game.

Minimum $18.64 HOURLY

-Compensation for hours worked over 40 in a workweek is at “premium time” (one and a half times the regular hourly rate).
-Night differential of $0.80 per hour for all hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
-Weekend differential of $0.80 per hour for all weekend hours worked (i.e., work hours between 12:01 a.m. on Saturday and 12:00 midnight on Sunday).
