START DATE JULY 2021 

The Economics and Business Administration department seeks a full-time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor to teach in the Master of Science in Human Resource Management program and Undergraduate Business Administration Major. Successful candidates will be able to teach courses such as Managing Human Resources, Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, Managing the Global Workforce, and other undergraduate courses in the field of management. Additional responsibilities will include recruiting, advising, and mentoring students; participating in departmental and committee tasks; and maintaining an active scholarly agenda. This position will start July 1, 2021.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or D.B.A in a business-related field.   Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate successful teaching experience, practical business experience in human resources, the ability to work in a team environment, and the ability to relate their professional experience and knowledge to the needs and interests of a diverse student body in a small college environment.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as the first coeducational college in Virginia. Bridgewater offers bachelor’s degrees in approximately 60 majors and minors, along with four graduate programs, pre-professional programs such as medicine and law, and teacher licensure. The College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, with 23 intercollegiate athletic teams. The vibrant residential campus is located in the town of Bridgewater, Virginia, near the city of Harrisonburg in the center of the Shenandoah Valley.
