Performance Improvement Professional

Performance Improvement Professional position at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Analyze all aspects of patient care in the Neurosciences clinical divisions using mathematical modeling, optimization and statistical analysis to quantify patient care delivery and identify areas needing improvement, including SAS, SPSS, R and python to perform univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis; box plot, histograms, scatter plot etc.; lead quality improvement initiatives and mentor other performance improvement team members to aid in their development; detailed root cause analysis of adverse events, cause and effect diagrams, flow charts, causal tree diagrams; linear regression, logistic regression or other classification techniques.  Provide instruction to medical students, Residents and Neuroscience clinical staff on interpretation of results of statistical data analysis of clinical improvement activities; provide instruction on the Model for Improvement including components of lean six sigma performance improvement methodology to provide staff with the necessary knowledge to drive decisions.  Teach, facilitate and coach the Neuroscience interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing and evaluating ways to achieve patient goals and minimize re-hospitalizations, and prevent deaths, using a variety of tools such as FMEA, RCA, and Lean, Change Leadership and others.  Monitor and track all state and federal quality improvement and data reporting requirements for a comprehensive stroke center.   Requires Master's or equivalent level degree in Public Health or closely related field.  Salary commensurate with qualifications.
