NCVLI - Project Director
As a member of NCVLI's management team, the Project Director is responsible for the overall success of key organizational projects, oversight of project budget management, timely and successful execution of all project deliverables, and reporting on progress and performance. Projects to which the Project Director is assigned vary with funding. Generally the Project Director is on one long term project and one to two strategic advancement projects at a time. The Project Director may at times also supervise project coordinators on other programmatic elements of NCVLI's work.

Participate in developing and integrating the
activities of multiple, major project operations;
ensure that project efforts are generally cohesive, consistent, and effective in supporting the
College's mission, goals, and strategic plan.
- Participate in developing and oversee project management activities.
Participate in and oversee the development,
implementation, and maintenance of individual
project objectives and short- and long-range plans; develop tracking and evaluation program to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives.
Collaborate with College leadership and administration
to establish programmatic goals and
priorities for business and technology solutions to meet individual component and institutional needs.
Ensure project success and adherence to all contract
requirements, legal guidelines and
Develop and implement strategies that will maximize
synergies among NCVLI's projects to
advance the strategic objectives of the organization.
- Develop and manage project budget.
- Ensure compliance with established budget, including subgrantee and contractor line items.
- Perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Oversee detailed, accurate and timely project reporting and conduct presentation regarding project for internal and external audiences.
- Devise and deploy evaluation strategies across NCVLI projects and programs.
Conduct evidence-based programming that advances the
strategic objectives of the
- Supervise project coordinator staff.
- Responsible for the selection, training, supervision, evaluation, performance management, and discipline of the department employees.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for department with a focus on the College's culture, mission and vision.
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among employees.
- Establish long-range objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Build and work with diverse teams effectively.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant training/experience.
- College course work in law, communications, business administration, public administration or a closely related field.
- Contract management, grant coordination, process or project management, administrative duties, and/or provision of technical assistance, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Experience monitoring the use of federal and non-federal grant funds and/or negotiating and administering public or private service contracts.
- Skilled at reading, analyzing and applying complex government regulations and policies.
- Highly proficient in maintenance of grants and contracts in legal or nonprofit setting.
- Experience working with or in diverse communities.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple software applications including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online training and collaboration programs (e.g., AdobeConnect, Zoom, Canvas, Blackboard).
- Project management certification
- Work experience in related fields of contracts and grant management and training coordination (experience specifically with federal contracts and/or grants preferred).
- Experience developing and overseeing multi-year budgets that include sub-awards
- Experienced with multiple grant submission websites and forms (e.g., U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime and Office on Violence Against Women)
- Experienced managing Federal, State, County, City and/or other jurisdictions contracts and grants.
- Familiarity with and experience in a nonprofit or legal environment is highly desirable.
- 37.5 hours per week
- Benefits Eligible: Yes
- $60,000 - 70,000 annually
