Endowed Chair Professor/Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for the prestigious Burchard Endowed Chair in Electrical and Computer Engineering. This position is offered at the rank of professor or associate professor depending upon the candidate's experience and accomplishments starting on August 16, 2021.  Stevens offers an intellectually vibrant, diverse, highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, and innovative community and is a great place to work.

Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related discipline. The department is looking for a well-established scholar with a strong funding and publication record in key areas of interest: 5G/6G communications, Internet of Things, information security, smart and automated systems. Successful applicants are expected to have the potential to develop a vigorous externally funded, research program and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both undergraduate and graduate education and mentoring.

The ECE department at Stevens currently has 24 full-time faculty, including 1 NAE member, 5 IEEE Fellows, 3 NAI Fellows, and 8 NSF CAREER recipients. ECE faculty are dynamic, collaborative colleagues dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of electrical and computer engineers and technical leaders through innovative, interdisciplinary, and impactful research and education programs.
