Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Religious Studies

The University of Lynchburg invites applications for a visiting (one-year) full-time, non-tenure track position in Religious Studies to begin August 2021. The successful candidate will have evidence of excellence in liberal arts teaching and will be dedicated to teaching a range of undergraduate Religious Studies courses. We seek a collaborative colleague with primary expertise in Religion and Culture and secondary ability to teach in one or more of the following fields: comparative religion, religious ethics, or medical humanities. ABD required and Ph.D. is preferred by time of appointment. The selected candidate will teach a 4-4 load.

The search committee will conduct interviews via Google Meet with semi-finalists and will invite finalists to further interviews and a teaching demonstration via Google Meet.
