Reporting directly to the Director of e-Learning and Instructional Technology, the Coordinator for e-learning manages all aspects of the College’s learning management system. The Coordinator develops and manages trainings for faculty and students on distance education. The Coordinator for e-learning ensures reports are developed and analyzed to determine the needs for professional development among faculty and students regarding distance education. The Coordinator for e-learning supervises the e-learning staff, including the tutors for online tutoring. Responsibilities/Duties

Responsibilities and Duties
- Implements a quality assurance process for online course design through the Quality Matters process
- Evaluates and recommends new educational technologies for possible adoption
- Provides training on current and new educational technologies to include mobile applications
- Writes periodic reports on training activity
- Creates, administers, and reports the results of surveys and assessments
- Coordinates with IT as needed to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the learning management system and other educational technologies
- Aids in providing instructional design and technical support for faculty using educational technology
- Provides support for students using educational technology
- Conducts training on best practices of course design for teaching and learning
- Conducts training as needed for newly purchased instructional technology
- Compiles reports on online courses at the start of each semester and session,
- Administers, maintains, and updates the learning management system for the College
- Analyzes user data to assist in creating professional development for the student and the faculty
- Provides training and support to deans and associate deans regarding advanced uses of the learning management system
- Coordinates student orientation for learning technologies at the College
- Oversees the online tutors and online tutoring services
- Other related duties as assigned
Competencies and Skills
- Software systems utilized in daily operations
- eLearning principles and practices
- Understanding of adult learning theory and practice
- Current and emerging educational technology
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters in Curriculum Design or Education Technology or other academic discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in an academic field
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience related to e-Learning, including three years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mastery of various software for Learning Management Systems
- Experience creating quality, standard-based online course design and development
- Experience in collaborating with and supporting college faculty
- Experience conducting online quality course design reviews
- Experience coordinating projects, tracking and reporting on project status,
- Experience preparing reports related to operational activities, including statistical analysis
- Experience working with diverse academic and cultural backgrounds at a community college
- Experience utilizing computer technology, data gathering, and reporting activities
- Communicates effectively through oral and written mediums
