A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-ADSDOH) is seeking applications for an Inventory Manager at the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position is responsible for oversight and management of the entire inventory process of the post-doc dental clinics (ACC, Ortho) and works under the direction of the Director, Business Operations Office to ensure inventory orders are within budgetary limits.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manages and advises of budgetary needs; communicates with faculty regarding clinic inventory needs and changes; manages month end/year-end inventory close process in coordination with Business Operations Office
  • Oversees dental assistants and sterilization floating assistants, coordinates coverage as needed with Director of Clinic Operations
  • Check out disposable supplies to students as needed for treatment of patients daily
  • Checking out and in of high dollar equipment used during the treatment of patients daily
  • Keeping accurate accounts of inventory on hand
  • Monthly inventory reports. Year-end inventory close with reports, including semi-annual physical counts of all inventory
    Preparation of purchase orders for ACC, accurately record items received
  • Approve and submit orders for ortho clinic, keeping them apprised of any budget concerns
  • Constant communication with purchasing; track and manage inventory (old, new changes, vendor negotiations); coordinating and communication vendor prices and changes with all ASDOH clinics
  • Manage employee time cards and time off requests
  • Submit repair requests to facilities, clinic maintenance, and other vendors as needed and process invoices for payment.
  • Develop and maintain process and protocol to keep clinic supplies stocked in coordination with lead DAs and Director of Clinic Operations
  • Manage specialty items: implant consignments, surgical items, sedation medications
  • Maintain and ensure all equipment is in working order
  • Coordinate vendor grant/consignment contract renewals
  • Track locks and locker assignments for The Center staff
  • Coordinate with MCC the extern sterilization rotation schedule
  • Coordinate the training of dental assistants, sterilization and dispensary staff, as well as back up staff
  • Oversee the dental lab billing is processed in a timely manner by the sterilization lead
  • Oversee necessary FedEx/UPS shipping for ACC
Skills/Requirements:
  • Previous inventory/supply room experience required
  • Knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets spreadsheets for tracking purposes
  • Ability to professionally communicate with all levels of the organization as well as external vendors
  • Understanding of supply chain management, budgeting, price quotes, supplier negotiations
  • Sterilization, HIPAA regulations, OSHA and FERPA
  • Expert knowledge of infection control procedures, effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
